Additional notes for consideration
- One governor to be linked to an improvement area / OFSTED on the School Improvement Plan – will need to know the objectives and will be responsible for checking the progress throughout the year and reporting back to FGB (this information could be gained from a Teams / Zoom meeting before FGB meeting) We currently have names next to objectives on SIP but nothing actually happens
- Governors will need to know the INTENT of their area of responsibility and the overall curriculum INTENT. This has previously been shared and is on the website
- As a school working towards OUTSTANDING we need to look at the outstanding category and think about how governors can work to be able to evidence outstanding comments in each area – this needs to be a focus of governor’s meetings (this was advised by our School Improvement Partner Barbara Coulton)
- Consideration of maybe having two governors for each area and so if one can’t commit that term then the other may be able to?
