Sacred Heart Mission Statement
As a school family we share, celebrate and respect each other.
To achieve this we:
Maintain a secure, caring and inclusive community in which the Gospel Spirit of love, care and mutual respect permeates every aspect of school life.
Through the teaching of Religious Education lessons and Collective Worship, contribute to the Spiritual development of pupils and teach the children about the belief, values and way of life of Catholic Christianity and other faiths.
Help children distinguish right from wrong and develop a personal sense of morality.
Are supported by the Parish in preparing children for Eucharist and Reconciliation, and in the development of Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural education of all children
As a community we follow Jesus’ example to love one another as He loves us.
To achieve this we:
Explore our own faith, and the faith of others, through Religious Education
Be positive role models who treat everyone with love and respect
Recognise each child has a gift developing from their individuality and creativity
Forgive others and ourselves, and accept forgiveness
Celebrate diversity, welcoming and valuing everyone
Promote an ethos of mutual respect, compassion, tolerance and acceptance
As children of God’s world we pray, welcome and serve our global family.
To achieve this we:
Continually work together in partnership, including home, school and Parish.
Use the values of the Gospel as a guide to living life to the full.
Support and celebrate with others in our local and global community through prayer, fundraising and other forms of support, e.g.Dreamland mission, thus working for the common good.
Be inclusive of all, nurturing our uniqueness as children of God. Develop trust in, supportive relationships with our families and neighbours
