Last Supper
As part of our Easter celebrations Year 4 perfromed the Last Supper for the whole school and their parents.
Rosary Prayers
May is the month of Mary. To honour this, all children are invited to join members of staff in the Y6 classroom every Thursday in May at 12:10pm (this is during lunchtime break) to pray a decade of the rosary. Children can bring their own rosary if they wish, but if they don't have a rosary, that is absolutely fine. We hope anyone who wants to will join us.
Many thanks, RE team
Dreamland Mission Hospital Kenya
During our Prayer and Liturgy today Mr Rotchel introduced us to our new cirriculum root responsibility, he explained about a great worthwhile project he would like Sacred Heart to be part of. As part of our cathoilc faith 'Jesus explains that we have a responsibility to love one another.' To deliver this message we have pledged to help the Dreamland Mission Hospital in Kenya. Recently the dreamland mission had a very special visit from Sacred Heart's Prayer bear, who wanted to find out more about the great work that goes on at the hospital. The hospital has a responsibility to change peoples lives by offering them life changing care. To do this, they need money to offer the treatment. To help raise money for the children in Kenya we are going to be taking part in a whole school production at the Parr Hall. All the money raised from the event will be donated to the Dreamland Mission.
Collective Worship
KS2 celebrated a beautiful Collective Worship honouring Mary. They listened to scripture, prayed a decade of the Rosary, lay flowers and listened to Bach's 'Ave Maria.'
First Holy Communion
Lovely to see children from school taking part in the last 'With you always' session, in preparation for their First Holy Communion on the 11th June 2022.
